A New Partnership

Actor training for the 21st Century

As Bristol School of Acting (BSA), we are the first acting school in the UK to be based in a working theatre, Bristol’s Tobacco Factory Theatres (TFT).

The partnership between our two organisations is well-matched, with both organisations committed to bravery, innovation and presenting wildly adventurous theatre for Bristol audiences, as you’ll see from our forthcoming season of final year graduating student shows.

The partnership posits our young actors in a working theatre environment right from the start of their training, rubbing shoulders and collaborating with the many professional theatre companies and artists that TFT welcomes each year. Furthermore, the ambition, international and creative breadth of BSA’s productions, overseen by our Co-Artistic Director and the incoming Bristol Old Vic Artistic Director, Nancy Medina, promises to further broaden TFT’s already excellent and wide-ranging offer for Bristol audiences.

Our inaugural graduate season opens in October and you can see all our upcoming shows here.
