Ben Vardy

Ben is a theatre maker, director, community arts practitioner and founding member of The Wardrobe Ensemble.

As a community arts practitioner Ben has worked extensively with organisations such as the Old Vic, the International Schools Theatre Association, and Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation; and as a training consultant for environmental education charity, Action for Conservation.

Ben is also a qualified secondary school teacher, and has worked with many of the aforementioned organisations to train teachers on how best to incorporate devised theatre into their curricula.

Ben is a committed advocate of the power of theatre to provide people of all backgrounds with a tool for self-expression, confidence-building and a sense of community; as well as a joyous and cathartic refuge away from the struggles of everyday life.
