Theatre that stands up and stands out

Bristol School of Acting has powerfully made its mark on the Bristol theatre scene by doing things differently. In autumn 2020, we produced our first season of shows at Tobacco Factory Theatres and we now stage around 12 theatre productions a year.

Our work is outward looking – it is authentic, individual and inspiring. We want to celebrate the identity of the actor. We release our actors’ unique essence and use their real-life experiences to bring distinction to their performance.

Our productions represent the world today, champion new ideas and look to bring the best of the world theatre to the city - Bristol is ready -are you?

BSA brings together some of the very best professional talent from around the world to right here in Bristol, including Co-Artistic Director Stuart Wood and Nancy Medina, an award-winning director who has recently been appointed artistic director and joint-CEO of Bristol Old Vic.

This July we announce a new season of theatre ready to hit Bristol at Tobacco

Factory Theatres in the autumn. Our first production of the season will be Fefu and Her Friends directed by Nancy Medina and running from Oct 13-15th.
