Clara Potter-Sweet (they/them) is an artist working with performance & other sundry disciplines, based in Bristol. Their main strand of work is as experimental performance duo Emergency Chorus (‘Beguiling and enchanting work‘, The Guardian) with Ben Kulvichit. They also collaborate on other projects in different ways: dramaturg, performer, outside eye, writer.
Their work is often concerned with networks, crisis, interpretation, multiplicity – and has taken the form of shows for theatres, improvisations for galleries, community projects, durational pieces & workshops.
They have made & shown work with & at places including Bristol Old Vic, Cambridge Junction, Warwick Arts Centre, Camden People’s Theatre & BBC R&D. Recent performances include: Five Acts by Young In Hong (Spike Island, Bristol / 2024), The Dance of Professionalisation for Survival with Rachael Clerke (various / 2022 – ongoing) & Container by Alan Fielden (Camden People’s Theatre, London & The Cube, Bristol / 2023).
They are a proud member of Interval Artist Collective.
