City Academy pupils meet former students now training at BSA

For some of the BSA students taking part, City Academy was already part of their story. A workshop brought former pupils now training at BSA into contact with the school’s current drama and dance students.

City Academy’s June 2024 report records 20 pupils attending the session, which included a theatre-in-education performance by BSA students. They also had the opportunity to talk with performers who had moved from their school into further training.

Drama teacher Rebecca Pearce described the value of seeing the work and commitment involved in performing arts training at close quarters.

The connection gave pupils people to speak to about a possible next step: former City Academy students with recent experience of making that transition.
