Five plays and two proposed degrees: BSA in autumn 2022

Updated: 10 hours ago
BSA’s first graduate season stretched from October 2022 into February 2023 at Tobacco Factory Theatres. Its five plays were Fefu and Her Friends, Not About Nightingales, Youth’s the Season…?, Icarus and Donna Quixote.
The programme put rarely staged writing and UK premieres in front of Bristol audiences. Three of the five works were by Latinx writers, a deliberate part of the repertoire described by Stuart Wood in The Stage that October.
Alongside the season, BSA announced two accelerated degrees intended to begin in September 2023: Theatre-Making with The Wardrobe Ensemble and Acting for Contemporary Theatre with Nottingham’s Rapscallion Cage.
